Maroli Architects

Maroli Architects is tucked away on 3rd Cross in Indira Nagar, right in the 3rd Stage area. If you’ve ever tried to park around here at midday, you know how hectic it gets. We’ve been at 728 for quite a while now. The office is usually a mess of blue prints, yellow tracing paper, and half-empty coffee mugs. It’s not one of those sterile studios you see in magazines. It’s a working space where we actually draw and think. The light comes in pretty nice through the front window in the afternoons, though. There are usually three or four of us around, hunched over desks or talking about a specific site issue that cropped up. We know the local shops well, especially the one that does the good samosas for our late lunches. Being in this part of Bangalore means there is always noise from the street, but you get used to it after a week or so. It’s just how life is in this neighborhood. We don’t have a big reception area or anyone in a suit greeting you at the door. You usually just walk in and find someone at their computer. We’ve done a lot of work in the surrounding streets over the years. Some days the internet acts up and we end up just chatting instead of working. It's a real place with real people trying to make things work every single day.
