Amit Garments

Amit Garments is located over in Munnekolala on Dental College Road. Our building is number 509 and we are right opposite Sapthagiri Layout. It’s a bit of a specific spot because we are also near the railway gate on 2nd Cross. You can hear the trains passing by quite often during the day. We spend most of our time here working with fabrics and sewing machines. It’s a small operation where we make different types of clothing. The space is usually filled with rolls of cloth and thread everywhere. We aren't a big retail store with mirrors and lights. It is more of a workshop where the actual making happens. Being near the dental college means there are always students walking around the area. We’ve stayed in this part of Munnekolala for years. The neighbors are good people and we all kind of know each other. Sometimes the traffic at the railway gate makes things a bit slow but we don't mind much. We just focus on the stitching and getting the orders ready for the shops. It’s a noisy, busy little place but it works for us. If you find the layout and the railway tracks, you’re basically standing right in front of our door. We just keep busy with our needles and thread. There is usually a pile of scraps on the floor by evening. It’s honest work.
