We’ve been working out of this spot at 284 21St Cross in Vignananagar for quite a while now. If you know New Thippasandra, you know it can get pretty busy around here during the day. Our office is just a regular place where a few of us sit around with our laptops trying to get this software stuff right. It’s not always easy. Sometimes we’re stuck on a single line of code for hours while the chai gets cold on the desk. People think software is all about fancy computers, but for us, it’s mostly just a lot of talking and trying to figure things out together. We started Manthan Software Services because we knew how to build things and wanted a place of our own to do it. The neighborhood has changed a bit since we first got here, but our daily routine is still basically the same. We show up, deal with whatever bugs popped up overnight, and try to make things work better than they did yesterday. There’s no big secret to it. We just put in the hours and hope the internet stays stable. Sometimes the power goes out or the traffic outside gets too loud, but that’s just part of being in Bangalore. We don’t have a fancy lobby or anything like that. It’s just us and our desks. If you’re ever near the post office in Thippasandra, you’re basically right by us. We’re just local people doing our bit with technology.
