Manipal Advertising Services Pvt. Ltd. is situated on the 2nd floor of building number 9, right on 6th Main in Shivanagar. If you’re coming through this part of Bangalore, you’ll notice it’s a mix of houses and small businesses. We’ve been in this office for a while now. The stairs up to the second floor are a bit narrow, so carrying heavy stuff up is always a pain for us. Inside, it’s mostly just desks, a few cupboards for files, and a small area where we keep the kettle for tea. Shivanagar is a decent area, though the 6th Main can get jammed up during the evening rush hour when everyone is heading home. We usually see the same faces walking by every day and the local shopkeepers know us by name. The office doesn’t have much decoration, just a few calendars on the walls and plenty of stationery scattered around. We show up in the morning, check what needs doing for the day, and get to it. It’s a lot of phone work and looking at screens. We don't have any big signs or flashy lights outside. Sometimes the power goes out for an hour or so, and we just sit around talking until the backup kicks in or the lights come back on. It’s a quiet enough place to work, and we like being tucked away on the second floor where it’s a bit calmer than the street level. Our windows look out over the street so we can see the weather changing.
