Main Land China

So, we are located out here in Bhadravati at the Belligere area. The address is a bit long, C/0 Shanthi Bai in Bandigudda Post, but most locals know where we are. We run Main Land China from this spot in Shimoga Dist, Karnataka. It is a bit of a different setting than what you might expect for a place with this name, but we like it here. We spend most of our time in the kitchen or making sure the tables are set right. It’s a lot of work keeping things running in a taluk like this, but we enjoy the pace. The air is a bit fresher out here than in the big cities. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. It’s just us, some good pans, and a lot of ingredients that we move through every day. Sometimes we run out of things or the delivery truck is late, but that’s just life in rural Karnataka. We try to keep the place tidy and welcoming for whoever stops by. It’s a practical setup and we don't put on any airs. If you’re passing through Shimoga, you’ll find us working away. We’ve been part of this community for a bit and we just like making food and seeing people eat. It’s a simple life and we are happy to be doing it right here.
