Mahavir Gold Palace

The shop is located on 60 Feet Road over in Banashankari 3rd Stage. My father started things here a long time ago and I just kept it going. We handle gold jewelry mostly, like rings and chains. It’s at number 2, right where the road gets a bit wider. Most of our customers are locals from around Banashankari who have been coming to us for years. They usually come in when there is a wedding or a festival coming up. Gold is a big thing here, so we stay busy during those times. I spend a lot of my day sitting behind the counter talking to people. Sometimes it’s not even about the jewelry, just neighbors stopping by to say hello. The shop isn't one of those massive showrooms you see in the city center. It’s smaller and a bit more personal. We have a few display cases that we try to keep shiny. The lighting inside is a bit bright so the gold looks right. Sometimes the traffic outside gets really loud, especially in the evenings when everyone is heading home. I usually close up around eight or so. It’s a steady life and the area has changed a lot since we first opened. More buildings and more cars now. But we are still here in the same spot, doing the same work every day. It feels good to be part of the community like this. I hope to stay here for many more years.
