Maharaja Novelty

Our shop is tucked away near Bandi Mutt, right in the middle of Ramesh Laxmi Market on Avenue Road. If you know the area, you know how crowded it gets with people and carts moving everywhere. Maharaja Novelty is where we spend most of our waking hours. We sell all sorts of small items, the kind of things people look for when they need something specific but don't want to go to a big mall. The space is a bit tight because we try to fit a lot of stock onto the shelves. Sometimes it feels like there’s barely enough room to turn around, especially when a few customers are inside at once. Avenue Road has this constant energy that never really stops. We’ve seen many shops come and go, but we’re still here in our little corner. It’s a lot of work keeping everything organized, and some days are definitely longer than others. The morning starts with dusting off the counters and checking what needs to be restocked from the back. We don’t really do much advertising or anything, people just find us while they’re walking through the market. It’s a practical way to earn a living. We know the neighbors and the tea seller nearby quite well. It’s just a regular life running a novelty store here. We try to be helpful when someone asks for a particular item they can't find elsewhere. That’s about it for our daily routine.
