Mahalaxmi Collections

Mahalaxmi Collections is located at 125/31 in Jayanagar. It’s a nice enough area to work in, with plenty of trees and people walking about all day. The shop itself is packed with items from floor to ceiling. Sometimes it feels like there isn't enough room for everyone to move around, but we manage. We’ve been at this spot for a long time, and the locals seem to know us pretty well. The shelves are mostly wooden, and they’ve started to bow a bit under the weight of everything we store on them. We spend a lot of time folding and unfolding things, making sure everything is where it should be. It’s repetitive work, but it’s what we do. The lighting inside is a bit yellow, which gives the place a warm feel, even on rainy days. We have a small stool behind the counter where whoever is on duty sits when things are slow. Usually, we just talk about what we’re going to have for dinner or what happened on the news. We don’t have any fancy technology here, just an old-fashioned way of doing things. The door has a bell that rings whenever someone enters, so we always know when we have company. It’s a simple life at 125/31. We don’t aim for anything grand, just keeping the shop open and doing our daily tasks until it’s time to lock up and head home to our families in the evening.
