Mahalakshmi Bankers Jewellers & Watches

Our shop, Mahalakshmi Bankers Jewellers & Watches, is tucked away at No.163 on 8th Main Road in Vasanth Nagar. It’s a decent neighborhood to be in, and we’ve gotten used to the rhythm of the street over the years. We spend most of our time behind the counter dealing with jewelry and watches that people bring in. Being at No.163 means we see a lot of the same faces walking by every day. Vasanth Nagar has its own feel, different from the busier commercial hubs. It is more of a place where people actually live and know their neighbors. We try to keep the shop organized, but with so many small watch parts and pieces of jewelry, it can get a bit cluttered on the workbenches. The 8th Main Road usually has cars parked all along it, which makes it a bit tight sometimes. We don't really do the big advertising thing; we just stay here and do the work. If someone needs a battery changed or is looking for a gift, they find their way to us. The building is a standard one for this area, nothing flashy about the front. We just open the doors, turn on the lights, and wait for the first customer of the day. It’s a quiet kind of life for the most part. Vasanth Nagar is where we belong and we’ve been at No.163 for quite a while now since we started here.
