Madhu Novelties is based at 64 Maruthi Complex, right on the Main Road in Mamulpet. Being on the main road means we see everything that happens in the market. The Maruthi Complex is a busy place with a lot of people coming and going at all hours. We’ve been here for a while now, and our shop has become a regular stop for many. We keep a wide range of small goods and novelties on our shelves. It’s a bit of a squeeze inside because we try to stock as much as possible. Sometimes it feels like the walls are closing in with all the merchandise, but that’s just the nature of a shop in Mamulpet. We spend a lot of time talking to vendors and customers. You meet all sorts of people in this line of work. Some days are long, especially when we have to unload new stock in the middle of the day while the street is blocked with traffic. We don't have a big corporate structure or anything like that. It’s just us working hard to keep things going. We don't make big promises, we just try to have what people are looking for when they walk through the door. It’s a basic way to run a business, but it has served us well for all these years. If the shop is crowded, we just ask people to be patient for a moment while we finish up.
