M Y Nagaraj has been operating from this little spot in Konankunte for a while now. We are located at number 1 in the Soudhamini Layout, right above the Bescom office. It’s a handy place to be because everyone knows where the electricity office is. You just have to walk up the stairs and we are right there. It’s not a very big office, just enough space for a few desks and some chairs for people to sit while we talk. The stairs can be a bit of a climb if you aren't used to it, and sometimes they get a bit dusty from the street. Being right above Bescom means we see a lot of people coming and going all day long. Sometimes they even wander into our office by mistake thinking it’s part of the government department. We just point them back downstairs and go about our business. The office is pretty basic, nothing fancy to look at. We have a few fans that hum all day and some old cupboards filled with files. I handle most of the things myself, though I have someone helping out when it gets really busy. We aren't trying to be some big corporate entity; we’re just a local business doing our work in the neighborhood. Some days the traffic on the main road is so loud we have to close the windows, but usually, it’s just the normal sound of the layout.
