M V James

My office is over at 138 Seshadripuram on the D C Halli Main Road. It’s the Bilekhalli Post area, and we are up on the 1st floor. M V James has been here for quite some time now. To get to us, you have to go up those narrow stairs, which can be a bit of a workout if you’re doing it multiple times a day. The main road outside is always noisy with buses and bikes, but once you get inside the office, it settles down a little bit. It is a basic setup. I have my desk, some chairs for visitors, and shelves full of folders that have been there for years. I don’t go for having a fancy office with leather chairs and glass walls. This place is about getting work done. I usually get in early before the traffic on D C Halli Main Road gets too bad. The 1st floor view mostly just shows the tops of cars and the shops across the street. We get a mix of people coming in. Some are regulars who have been coming to see me for years, and some are just passing through. There’s no big staff here, just a couple of us handling the daily chores and keeping the records straight. It’s a plain, honest place to work. We don’t try to be something we are not. We just do the work and go home at the end of the day when the sun starts setting.
