Being right at Hudson Circle in Sampangiram Nagar means it is never really quiet around here. We are up on the 4th floor of the Gokkligara Bhavan, which looks right over at the Corporation Office. It is a lot of stairs to climb if the elevator is acting up, which happens more often than we would like it to. From up here, you can see all the green buses and the crowds gathering near the circle. The office itself is pretty basic and functional. We have got a few desks pushed together and some old filing cabinets that have seen better days. It is just a space where we spend most of our daylight hours working. The sounds of the city come right through the glass windows, so you always know what time it is just by listening to the traffic flow. We don't spend any time worrying about how the place looks to people. We are more focused on getting through the files and the meetings we have scheduled for the week. It involves a lot of coordinating and making phone calls. Sometimes we have to run down to the corporation office for one thing or another. The location is the main reason we stay; it is right in the middle of everything. We don't use any fancy talk or try to sound like a big firm. We are just people working together in a very busy part of the city.
