M A Auto Engineering Works is located at 71 Lalbagh Road, right across from Diesel India. If you know the area, you know it is always packed with cars and spare parts shops. Our workshop is usually full of engines and tools scattered across the benches. We have been fixing things here for quite some time. It’s a greasy job, and our hands are rarely clean, but that’s part of being a mechanic. We work on all kinds of auto engineering problems. Some days it is just a simple fix, and other days we are rebuilding something from the ground up. The noise from the road outside blends in with the sound of our own drills and hammers. We aren't a big showroom with shiny floors. We are a workspace where real work happens. People bring their vehicles here when they want someone who actually understands the mechanical side of things. We have a small corner with a few chairs and a table where we keep the bills and some old magazines. It gets hot in the afternoons, so we usually have a big fan blowing while we work. We don't use big words or try to confuse people; we just show them what’s wrong and try to get it sorted out so they can get back on the road safely. It is a busy life but we enjoy it.
