Our setup is located in the Nandini Layout area of Bangalore, specifically at the Srinivasamurthy residence. It’s a very local, residential feel here, which is different from those big tech parks you see on the other side of the city. We work out of a space that used to be part of a regular house, so it has a lot of character and maybe a few too many electrical cords running along the floorboards. There are a few of us who sit here every day working on software stuff and fixing things on the computer. We usually have the door open to let the breeze in, and you can hear the kids playing in the street or the vegetable vendors calling out as they pass by. It’s not a fancy office with a glass front, but it works for what we need to do. We spend a lot of time drinking tea and staring at screens, trying to figure out bugs or setting up systems for people. The neighbors all know who we are, and sometimes we help them out with their own computer problems if they drop by. It’s a quiet life in Nandini Layout for the most part. We have a few desks squeezed into the rooms and a lot of old hardware piled up in the corners. It’s just a group of us trying to keep the projects moving without too much fuss. We enjoy the local atmosphere and the fact that we can just walk to the corner shop for snacks.
