We are up on the second floor at number 5, right in Mandi Veerappa Lane. It’s a busy little spot opposite number 8, just off Silver Jubilee Park Road. Being on the second floor means we do a lot of heavy lifting up and down those stairs. It’s an old building, and the hallways are quite narrow. When we get a big shipment in, it really blocks everything up for a few hours. Silver Jubilee Park Road is always packed with trucks and carts, so getting things delivered can be a bit of a nightmare depending on the time of day. Inside, it’s mostly just rows of shelves and a small desk where we keep the books. We’ve been trading here for a long time. You see the same faces every morning when the tea man comes around. It’s a very traditional way of doing business. We don't have a website or anything like that. People just know us and they know we are here above the lane. The air doesn't move much in the office, so we have a few old ceiling fans that creak while they spin. It’s a bit messy with all the paperwork and sample items lying around, but we know where everything is. It’s just a regular trading life in a very crowded part of the city. We just keep our heads down and work.
