Leela Hospital & Diagnostic Center

We are located right on 18th Cross in Malleshwaram. This part of town has a lot of trees, which is nice when it gets hot out. The hospital and diagnostic center takes up a good bit of space here. We have different rooms for the tests and the beds for people staying over. The floors are white and we try to keep them shining, though people track in dirt all day. You can smell the cleaning fluids as soon as you walk through the doors. It is a busy street, so there is always someone coming in or going out. Sometimes the lab gets backed up with samples, and we have to work late to get the results ready. We see all kinds of people from the neighborhood. Some have been living in Malleshwaram for fifty years. They talk about how 18th Cross used to look different. We just listen while we take their blood pressure or do the scans. It is a lot of paperwork every day, filling out forms by hand mostly. The chairs in the waiting area are a bit stiff, but they do the job. We don’t have much wall decoration, just the notices and some old clocks that tick loudly. We just try to keep things moving so people aren’t waiting too long. It is a simple setup we have here, nothing too complicated, just a local hospital and diagnostic center doing what it needs to do for the community.
