Leadzwebgroup is tucked away at No. 13 on Any Street in the North Cityscape part of Townsville. It’s a bit of a weird address, but we’ve been here long enough that we don’t think about it much. We’re a small group that spends way too much time looking at screens. The office is basically just a bunch of desks pushed together and a lot of tangled wires on the floor. We do web stuff, but we aren't the type to wear suits or have big meetings in boardrooms. Usually, we’re just sitting around in t-shirts, trying to figure out why a piece of code isn't working or how to make a page load faster. North Cityscape is a decent enough neighborhood, though parking is always a nightmare if you get in after nine in the morning. There’s a little cafe around the corner where we get most of our lunches, and that’s pretty much the extent of our social life during the week. We started this because we liked tinkering with the internet, and now it’s our full-time job. It’s not always exciting. A lot of it is just answering emails and fixing small errors that nobody else notices. We keep the blinds closed most of the day because of the glare on the monitors. It’s a quiet place, except for the sound of typing and the occasional argument over what music to play. We just keep at it, one project at a time, until the work is done.
