Our office is up on the 8th floor of the Pride Hulkul building, which is number 116 on Lalbagh Road. Being on the 8th floor gives us a bit of a view of the city, which is nice when you need a break from looking at a screen. You can see the trees over towards the botanical gardens if the weather is clear. Lalbagh Road is always a hive of activity, but once the elevator doors close and you head up, it gets a little quieter. The office itself is set up for work, plain and simple. We have our desks lined up, and the walls are mostly covered with calendars and project schedules. We don’t go in for much decoration. It’s the kind of place where you can hear the hum of the air conditioner and the occasional distant honk from the street below. We get in early, get our coffee, and start going through what needs to happen for the day. There isn't much hierarchy here; we all just pitch in where it's needed. We’ve been in this building for a while, and we know the security guards and the other folks who work in the different suites. It’s a steady place to be. We don't try to impress people with big words or fancy lobbies. We just do the work we’re supposed to do and keep things moving forward as best as we can.
