Lakeside Veterinary Clinic & Diagnostic Centre

Lakeside Veterinary Clinic & Diagnostic Centre sits right in the Ramachandra Arcade at No.21/83. We are on South End Road, tucked right below Balaji Medicals in the Basavanagudi area. It is a lively spot to work because there is always something going on upstairs or out on the street. Being below another shop means we hear a lot of footsteps, but you get used to it after a week or two. The clinic has a specific smell of cleaning supplies and wet fur, which is just part of the territory when you work with animals. We have some old metal cabinets that squeak when you open them and a waiting area that is usually full of dogs trying to sniff each other under the chairs. The cats are mostly in crates looking annoyed. It is a small space, so things can get a bit cramped when a big family brings in a sick pet. Basavanagudi is a nice neighborhood, very traditional, and we see a lot of the same faces every month. The arcade itself has seen better days, but the location is handy for people who need to grab medicine from Balaji right after seeing us. We usually keep a bowl of water outside for the strays too. It is not a fancy setup with high-tech decor, just a practical clinic where we spend our hours looking after the local pets and trying to keep the paperwork from piling up too high on the front desk.
