L P Dewakar Architect & Associates

We've been working out of this spot on Jaya Chamarajendra Road for a good while now. It’s a busy area, B1 to be exact, and the office usually has rolls of paper and various drafts spread out across the desks. L P Dewakar Architect & Associates isn't some big, fancy firm with glass walls and receptionists in suits. It’s mostly just us here, answering the phone and looking over site plans. Most days start with a bit of tea and checking the schedule for site visits. The noise from the road outside is pretty constant, but you get used to it after a few years. We handle all sorts of jobs, mostly local stuff that comes our way through word of mouth. Sometimes the office gets a bit cluttered with samples and old files, but we know where everything is. People just drop by when they need something looked at. It’s a straightforward way of doing things. We spend a lot of time drawing and then redrawing when things change on a project. The address is easy to find if you know this part of town. We don’t really do much in the way of big ads or anything like that. We just focus on the drawings and making sure the measurements are right. It’s a quiet routine for the most part, even with the traffic outside our windows on Jaya Chamarajendra Road. We've stayed in this same spot because it works for us and our clients. We keep the drafting tables busy every day.
