Our office is located at 27/110 in Kathriguppe, Bangalore. It’s actually at Jayamma’s place in Poorvagna Layout. It might seem like a bit of a strange spot for a big name like KSRTC, but this is where we handle things. The neighborhood is a typical Bangalore residential area with narrow streets and lots of neighbors knowing each other. We spend our time dealing with the logistics of the buses and the routes. There is always a lot of chatter about schedules and which driver is where. It’s a lot of work to keep things moving across the state, but we do what we can from this small office. Sometimes it feels like we are in our own little world away from the big bus stations. We have a few desks and a lot of registers. People come by to ask questions or drop off papers. The weather in Bangalore is usually good for working, though it gets a bit gloomy when the monsoon starts. We don't really do anything special, just the day-to-day grind of transport management. It's not always easy and sometimes the phones don't stop ringing. We just take it one day at a time. The office is a bit cramped with all the files, but we know where everything is. It’s just a regular workplace where people are trying to make sure the buses run on time and everyone gets to where they need to go.
