Krishanka Architects

We’ve been over here at 282 on Ulsoor 2nd Cross in Cambridge Layout for a while now. It’s a busy spot, and most days you’ll just find us hunched over our desks or out on a site somewhere nearby. Krishanka Architects isn't some big fancy office with a hundred people. It’s just us doing the drawings and trying to make sure the walls end up where they’re supposed to. People walk in sometimes asking about their house plans or just wanting to know if a wall can be knocked down. We spend a lot of time drinking tea and looking at blueprints. The traffic around here can be a bit of a mess in the evenings, but it is home. When we start a project, it's usually just a lot of talking first. We listen to what people want, even if they aren't totally sure themselves. Then we get to the sketching. Some days the ideas come fast, other days we’re just staring at a blank screen for way too long. It’s not always glamorous. There is a lot of paperwork and checking local rules. We try to keep things straightforward. No one wants a complicated process when they’re already stressed about building something. If you’re around the layout, you’ve probably seen us coming and going. We just try to do decent work and get home on time like everyone else. It is just how we run things here.
