Kongwang

Over on Banneraghatta Road, things never really seem to slow down. Kongwang is situated right along that busy stretch where the traffic is almost always backed up. We spend our time prepping in the kitchen, chopping vegetables and getting everything ready before the lunch rush hits. The building isn't anything special to look at from the outside, but we keep it clean inside. We don't have a big marketing team or anyone telling us how to run things. It’s just a small crew of us making sure the orders go out. People coming from the nearby offices or the hospital usually drop in when they have a break. You can hear the horns honking outside while you sit at the tables. The address is right on Banneraghatta Road, so it’s easy to spot if you’re looking. We don't use fancy words to describe what we do. We just cook and serve. Sometimes the orders get a bit mixed up when it’s really crowded, but we fix it and keep going. The floor tiles are a bit worn down from all the feet passing through over the years. We’ve got a couple of fans going to keep the air moving, but it still gets warm when the stoves are all on. It’s a busy life, but it’s our life. We just take it one day at a time without much complaining.
