Our office is located at No. 35/1 on the 1st Main Road in Gandhi Nagar. We are very close to the old Kalpana Theatre, which is a major landmark in this part of Bangalore. Being in the 560009 area means we are right in the thick of things. The 1st Main Road is always buzzing with activity, from people going to the shops to others just passing through to get to the city market. Our space is simple and functional. We have a few desks where we sit and handle all the daily tasks that come our way. There are some old chairs for anyone who needs to wait, and we usually have a stack of newspapers on the side table. The office doesn't have much in the way of style, but it’s comfortable enough for us. We’ve spent many years in this spot, watching the street outside change as new shops open and old ones close. The sound of the city is always there, but we don’t really notice it much anymore. It’s just part of the background. We spend a lot of time on the telephone and talking to the people who walk through the door. It is a very direct and plain way of doing things. We open up the shutters in the morning and close them once the evening rush starts to settle. It’s a reliable routine in a part of town that we know like the back of our hands.
