Kms Engineering Contractors & Traders is run out of our place at No. 13, Shiva Nilaya, over in Vinayka Lay Out. It's tucked away on the Third Cross, near the 6th Main in Chinnapanahalli. We aren't in a big industrial park or anything. It started out as a small operation and we just stayed in the neighborhood because it’s convenient. We deal with various engineering bits and pieces and do some contracting work when projects come up. The office is basically a room with a couple of desks and a lot of blueprints and folders scattered around. It gets a bit crowded when the guys come in to check their schedules, but we manage. We’ve been around this part of Chinnapanahalli for a while, so most the neighbors know us. We do a bit of trading on the side too, mostly just parts and materials we know people are looking for. It's not the kind of place where everything is shiny and new. We have old chairs and the printer sometimes makes a weird noise, but it gets the job done. We spend a lot of time on the phone or out at site visits, so the office is often quiet during the middle of the day. We don’t have a marketing team or anything like that. We just do the work that comes our way and try to keep things moving. It's just a regular business run by normal people.
