Kismet Sales & Services

You can find Kismet Sales & Services right opposite the Majestic Theatre. It is a good landmark because everyone knows where the theatre is. We have been here for a long time. The shop handles both sales and the service side of things. It is usually me and one other person here. The front of the shop has the items for sale and the back is where the real work happens. It is a bit messy back there with all the parts and tools scattered around, but I know where everything is. People bring in things that stopped working and they hope we can get them running again. Sometimes it is a quick fix and sometimes it takes a week. We do not make promises we cannot keep. Being across from the theatre means we see a lot of people coming and going. The noise from the street is just part of the day. I grew up in this area so I have seen the shops around us change a lot, but Kismet stays pretty much the same. We do not have a big sign or anything flashy. Just the name on the front. If you need something serviced, you just walk in. It is how we have always done it. We keep regular hours, though sometimes we close a bit early if it is a holiday or if things are dead quiet. I usually spend the slow hours cleaning the glass on the display cases or sorting through the spare parts we keep in the old wooden drawers.
