Kingfisher Airlines

This office is on the second floor of Richards Apartment, which is tucked into the Kandaswamy Apartment area in Richards Town. It’s one of those older parts of Bangalore where things feel a bit more settled. You have to climb the stairs to get up to number 12, and if you’re carrying a lot of bags, it’s a bit of a workout. We’ve been here at Kingfisher Airlines for a while now, though the space is more like a home than a big corporate office. The windows look out over the trees that Richards Town is famous for, which is a nice change from the usual concrete stuff. We spend the day handling various bits of logistics and paperwork. It can get pretty hectic when several things happen at once, but mostly it’s just the sound of keyboards and the occasional phone ringing. The layout is a bit weird because it was clearly meant to be a flat originally, so the kitchen area is where we keep the printer and the water cooler. We don’t really do big meetings here; it’s more about just getting the jobs finished. Most of the staff live nearby or take the bus. It’s a plain, functional space where we handle the day-to-day operations without needing anything too flashy or modern. It works for us and the neighbors don't mind the coming and going as long as we keep the noise down.
