Kerala Travels

Down in BTM Layout 1st Stage, specifically in Bank Colony at number 1081, is where we keep our office. Kerala Travels has been here in this neighborhood for a while. It’s a bit quieter than the main roads, which we like. Most of our morning is spent sorting out the bookings for the buses going south. We have a big wooden desk and a few chairs that have been moved around so many times the floor has marks on it. There is a small window that looks out onto the street, and we see the same people walking their dogs every morning. We get a lot of students and office workers from the colony coming in to book tickets for the holidays. The phone is usually the busiest thing in the room. We keep a stash of pens in a mug that mostly don't work, but we always find one eventually. It’s a regular office with some old calendars and a clock that ticks a bit too loud. We don't do much in the way of decoration. It’s just about getting the tickets printed and making sure people know which gate to go to. Sometimes we stay late when a bus is delayed just to make sure everyone gets the right information. It is just the way we run things here in the colony, keeping it simple and doing the work as it comes. The overhead light flickers sometimes but we just give it a tap and it stays on.
