We are Karnataka Times and our office is located at 12 Palace Guttahalli Road. We are pretty close to Vinayaka Circle, which is a landmark most people in this part of town know. Being a local news outfit, we are always on the phone or typing away at our desks. The office is usually a bit messy with old newspapers and coffee mugs scattered around. It’s a lively environment, especially when there is a big story breaking. People come in and out all day, and the door is rarely quiet. Palace Guttahalli Road can get quite noisy with all the scooters and buses passing by, but we’ve gotten used to the sound. We don't have a fancy lobby or anything; it's mostly just desks, computers, and a lot of wires. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to scramble to keep things running. It’s just part of the daily grind here. We’ve been at this spot for a while, and the neighborhood feels like home to us now. The staff here is a small group, mostly just people who like being in the middle of whatever is happening in the city. We don't spend much time on decorations or making things look perfect. We just focus on getting the information out and keeping track of what is going on around the circle and beyond. Every day brings something new to write about.
