Kapas Apparels Pvt. Ltd, Bangalore

We are located over at Kudlu Gate in the Muneshwara Layout area. The building is called Hamsasekara Nilaya. It is a bit of a trek from the main city center, but it’s where we show up to work every day. Kapas Apparels is a small operation, mostly focused on the daily tasks of getting clothing ready. We spend a lot of time on the 2nd Main, just moving back and forth between the storage area and the workspace. It is not a shiny corporate building. The floors are concrete and the lights flicker sometimes when the load is high. There is a small tree out front that gives some shade for the scooters we park there. Inside, it is mostly just the sound of people talking and the hum of the equipment. We don’t really have a marketing team or anyone to write fancy stuff for us. We just make sure the pieces are measured right and the stitching holds up for the customers. If there is a mistake, we just pull it apart and do it again. It is a very straightforward process. Lunchtime usually involves everyone sitting together and sharing whatever they brought from home. It is a friendly group of people and we get along well. We have been at this 7th Cross location for a while now and most of the neighbors know us. We are just part of the local scene here in Bangalore.
