We are based out of Pete Chennappa Estate in the Kamakshipalya area. Our workshop and office are basically in the same spot, so there is usually the sound of machinery or tools in the background. It’s an industrial sort of place, not somewhere you’d go for a fancy meeting. We deal with construction and metal work mostly. Most days we are covered in dust or grease, depending on what project is being handled at the moment. We’ve got a small team of guys who know their way around a welding machine and a blueprint. It’s a lot of physical work and the hours can be long when we’re trying to finish a big order. The estate is a bit cramped, so moving materials in and out can be a real struggle sometimes. We don't have a receptionist or a lobby. If you want to talk to us, you usually just walk into the main bay and find whoever isn't wearing a mask at the moment. We just focus on making sure the stuff we build is strong and meets the specs we were given. It’s not a glamorous job, but there is a certain satisfaction in seeing a finished piece of work ready to be shipped out. We just keep our heads down and work. The neighborhood is noisy and full of workshops like ours, so we fit right in. We just get the jobs done and move on to the next one.
