Being right near Bangalore GPO at 21/1 makes it easy for people to find us, even if the traffic is a nightmare. Kafitech Software Solutions started out quite small and we haven't really changed that much in terms of how we do things. We write code and fix bugs. The office is one of those older buildings where the lift is a bit moody, so we often just take the stairs. Inside, it’s mostly just rows of monitors and some very tired-looking chairs. We have a big whiteboard that is covered in scribbles that nobody has erased in three weeks. Sometimes we argue about which project needs to be finished first, but it usually gets sorted out over tea. The light in the office is a bit dim in the afternoons, but we’re used to it. We don't have any of those fancy bean bags or game rooms you see in movies. It’s just us sitting at our desks doing the work. The noise from the street below is constant, but it becomes like background music after a while. We know the postman quite well since he’s always around the GPO area. Most of the time we are just focused on meeting deadlines and making sure the software does what it is told. It is a straightforward way to earn a living, and we enjoy the quiet satisfaction of solving a difficult problem.
