If you are looking for us, we are at 21 Gandhi Nagar in Nandi Colony. The office is in the Shankarappa Building, specifically down Gali No 1. It is a bit of a narrow lane, so it is usually better to walk in than try to bring a car right to the door. The building is an older one, with those heavy doors and thick walls that keep it somewhat cool in the summer heat. We have a small space on the ground floor that works well for us. It is mostly filled with desks and a lot of old files that K S Rajanna has kept over the years. There is a small window that looks out into the alley, though there is not much to see except the occasional passerby. Most of our day is spent talking to people who come in from the colony nearby. It is a very local feel here. We know the shopkeepers on the main road and the people living in the apartments. Sometimes the stray dogs sleep right outside our door in the afternoons when it is quiet. We do not have any fancy air conditioning, just a ceiling fan that clicks a bit on the high setting. The lighting is just regular tube lights, which get the job done for reading. We handle our tasks one by one as they come. There is always someone stopping by for a chat or to ask for some help with their paperwork. It is a plain way to spend the day.
