K A Associates

If you come looking for K A Associates, you have to go up to the second floor of the Bamurty Complex. It’s right there on Commercial Street, number 4. The stairs can be a bit much if you’re carrying things, but it’s a good spot to be. We’ve been in this building for a long time. The office has big windows, though they get dusty pretty fast with all the people walking by outside. There’s always a lot of noise from the street below because Commercial Street is never quiet. Inside, we have a couple of computers and a lot of files. We do things like paperwork and helping people with their business needs. It’s mostly just sitting and typing or talking to folks who drop by. We don’t have a big sign outside, just a small one by the door. Some of the other offices in the complex are empty right now, but we stay busy enough. The tea guy comes around twice a day, and that’s usually when we take a breath. It’s not a corporate setup with suits and fancy meetings. We just wear what’s comfortable and get through the work. Sometimes we stay late when there’s a lot of filing to do. My uncle started this place, and now I’m the one mostly handling the daily stuff. We know the neighbors in the other shops, so it feels like a small community even though it's a big city.
