My name is Jyothsna N and you can find me over at 20 Srirampuram. This part of the town has a lot of character and history. I’ve been here at number 20 for quite a long time. Srirampuram is a place where everyone kind of knows each other, or they at least recognize your face after you’ve been around for a few weeks. My workspace is very basic. I don’t see any point in having a lot of extra furniture or stuff that just takes up room and gathers dust. It’s just a regular building on a regular street. Some days are much busier than others, especially when there is a local festival or a market day happening nearby. I usually start my day with a cup of tea before I get into the actual work. Being at 20 Srirampuram means I am close to a lot of the small local shops. That is handy when I need to grab a snack or some pens. It is not a corporate office with those glass walls or shiny floors. It is just a room where I handle my daily business. I have always preferred to keep it this way. Jyothsna N is the name on all the records, but most people just call me by my first name when they see me on the street. The road can get a bit crowded with all the scooters in the evening. That is just part of life in Srirampuram though. I have gotten used to the noise and the rhythm of the neighborhood.
