Johnson Controls

We are tucked away near the 4th gate of Infosys in Konappana Agrahara. If you know Bangalore, you know how the traffic gets around here. Our spot at Johnson Controls is really just a functional space. It is Room Number 49, part of the building owned by Venktesha Reddy. Manjunath is usually the one you'll see if you come by with questions. It is not a shiny glass tower like the ones across the street. We have desks, some chairs, and a lot of wires. Most days are spent looking at screens or talking about how to fix things that aren't working right. The tea stall around the corner is where most of us end up during the break because the office tea isn't great. We don't spend much time on decorations or fancy rugs. It is a working office, through and through. The walls are a bit plain and the hallway can be a little dark if the bulbs aren't changed fast enough. But we get the job done and stay busy from morning until the sun goes down. Bangalore is a fast city, but in this little corner of Konappana Agrahara, we just focus on the task at hand. It is practical and straightforward here. No one wears a suit unless they really have to for a big meeting, which isn't often. We just keep moving and doing what needs to be finished before the day ends.
