Our office is tucked away in RT Nagar at Veeru Homes. It is a bit of a walk from the main road, but most people find us eventually. Bangalore is always growing and this neighborhood is no different. We spend our days inside this building looking at profiles and talking to families. It is not exactly what you see in the movies. Most of the time we are just sitting at desks that have seen better days. The walls could use a new coat of paint, to be honest. We have a lot of files to manage and the computers sometimes take a long time to start up in the morning. People come in with high hopes and we just try to help them navigate the system. It gets quite loud because of the traffic outside and the construction happening nearby. We usually have our lunch together in the small back room. It is just a job for us, really. We handle the paperwork and try to keep things organized. Some days are just filled with phone calls that never seem to end. We don’t have fancy coffee machines, just a kettle for tea. It is a simple setup here in Bangalore. We see the same faces every day and try to keep the mood light even when the workload gets heavy. Sometimes we stay a bit late to finish things up. It’s just how it is.
