Jayker V

I am Jayker V and you can find me at 254-C on the Old Madras Road. We are situated on the 1st floor, right in the Bangalore GPO area. Being on the first floor means I get to see a lot of what’s happening on the street below. It’s a busy stretch of road, especially during rush hour. The building is older, with high ceilings and those big windows that let in a lot of dust. I’ve been working from this spot for quite a few years now. The stairs up to the office are a bit steep, so I tell people to take it slow. Inside, it’s mostly shelves and some old furniture I’ve had forever. I don’t see any reason to change things if they still work. The post office is nearby, so there’s always mail moving back and forth. Old Madras Road has a lot of history, and you can feel it in these old buildings. I usually eat my lunch at the desk while looking out at the traffic. It’s a bit noisy, but I’ve gotten used to the sound of the horns and the buses. Sometimes the electricity flickers when it rains hard. I just keep a flashlight handy and wait for it to come back. It’s a simple life here. I do my tasks, keep my records, and make sure the door is locked before I leave for the night. There is always something to do.
