Vaishnavi The Women Shoppe

We are located at 10/1 on 26th Main in Jayanagar, right across from Jawaharnagar in the Amraiwadi section. Vaishnavi The Women Shoppe is a small shop, but we pack a lot into it. There are racks of clothes everywhere and shelves filled with accessories. We spend our days helping women from the neighborhood find things that they like. It’s a very local feel here. We aren't like those big stores in the malls where everything is perfectly spaced out. Our shop is a bit crowded, and you have to look through the stacks to find the best stuff. The street outside is always busy with traffic and people walking by. We hear the honking of horns all day long. We’ve got a small counter where we wrap up purchases and chat with the customers who come in. Many of the people who shop here are regulars who live just a few blocks away. We don't have any formal mission or anything like that; we just open the shop in the morning and help whoever walks through the door. It’s a lot of standing and moving things around, but we enjoy the pace of it. The floor is made of old tile that's a bit cracked in the corners. We use a simple fan to keep the place cool during the hot afternoons. It’s just a honest, local shop where we do our best to help out. We have a lot of items that aren't in the bigger stores, and it keeps us quite busy sorting through it all.
