Jayachandrappa K V is the name, and you can find my shop at 188 BVK Iyengar Road. We are located very close to the Abhinaya Theatre, which is a place everyone knows around here. BVK Iyengar Road is one of the busiest streets you’ll ever see, with people and carts moving all day long. My shop is tucked in among many others, and it’s been here for a long time. I deal with various goods, mostly things that local people need for their homes or small trades. It’s a bit of a squeeze inside because I like to keep a lot of stock on the shelves. You might have to move a box or two to get to the counter. I don't have a computer to track everything; I just use a ledger and my memory. It’s how I’ve always done it, and it works fine for me. The noise from the street is constant, but you get used to it after a while. I have one helper who has been with me for years, and he knows where everything is kept. We don't do any big promotions or put up huge banners. People know we are here because we've been here forever. Sometimes my son comes by to help when the festival season starts and things get extra busy. It’s just a traditional way of doing business in a very traditional part of the city. We keep it simple and honest.
