Jai Farms

Jai Farms is located out in Cantonment Area 5. It’s a bit further out than some people like to drive, but we like it there. The air feels a little different away from the city center. We spend most of our time outdoors or in the sheds. It’s not a desk job, that’s for sure. There is always something that needs mending, whether it’s a fence or a piece of equipment that’s seen better days. We don’t have a big marketing budget or a shiny website. We just focus on the land and what we’re growing or raising. The weather is our biggest boss, really. If it rains too much or not enough, we have to change all our plans for the week. It can be tiring work, and your back definitely feels it by Friday. But there’s a certain satisfaction in seeing things grow. We aren’t looking to be some giant corporate farm. Just a local spot doing things the old-fashioned way. We have a few regulars who have been coming to us for years. They know we’re just regular people trying to make a living. It’s a quiet life for the most part, except when the machinery is running. We just keep at it, day in and day out, regardless of the season. It’s a lot of physical labor but it keeps us busy and out of trouble. We just do what we can with what we have.
