Jai Badra Kali Travels

Our place is in Uttarahalli, right near the new bus stop. It’s a convenient spot because people are always moving through there. We have a few cars and drivers that we manage. It’s a lot of coordinating over the phone. Early mornings are the busiest time because that’s when most trips start. I’m usually there before the sun comes up, checking if the drivers have arrived and if the vehicles are clean. It’s a lot of work keeping track of schedules and traffic reports. Bangalore traffic is unpredictable, so we spend a lot of time figuring out the best routes. We don't have a big fancy office. It’s just a small room with a couple of chairs and a desk where we keep the logbooks. The noise from the bus stop is constant, but it keeps us feeling like we are in the middle of things. Sometimes drivers come in to rest or have a cup of tea between trips. We know most of the routes around the city and the outskirts by heart now. We don't do much fancy marketing; people just see our cars or get our number from a friend. It’s a straightforward business. We provide a way for people to get where they need to go. Some days are stressful when a car breaks down or a driver is late, but we just handle it and move on. It is a fast-paced life here at the office.
