Jaba Physiotherapy Clinic

Our clinic is over in the Maruthi Extension area, specifically at No. 3 on the 6th Main Road. A lot of people know where we are because we are right opposite the Albek Hotel, and you can usually smell the food cooking from across the street around lunchtime. Being near the Harishchandra Ghat Stop at Devaiah Park means there are always buses stopping nearby, so the sound of engines is just part of our day at Jaba Physiotherapy Clinic. Inside, we have some mats on the floor and a few pieces of equipment for people to use when they are working on their movements. It’s a practical space, not something out of a magazine. We spend most of our time helping people stretch out or do their exercises correctly. The floor is tiled and stays relatively cool even when the Bangalore sun is out in full force. We have a small cupboard where we keep the clean towels and the oils we use. Sometimes it gets a bit crowded when two or three people are doing their routines at the same time, but we manage to find space for everyone. We’ve been in this neighborhood for a while, so we know most of the people who walk past our door. It’s a steady routine of opening up, helping folks get their mobility back, and closing up once the street lights come on in the evening. There isn't much more to it than that.
