Jaas Garments

Jaas Garments is situated on Elementary School Street in Kongu Nagar Extension. We are at number 20/22, which is easy enough to find if you know where the local school is. We spend our days working with different fabrics and making clothes. It is often noisy here with the sound of the machines running all day long. We started out small and have just kept at it over the years. The neighborhood is mostly residential, so we try not to be too loud early in the morning. Our workers are mostly from the local area, and they have a lot of experience with this kind of work. We don't have a fancy showroom. Most of our space is taken up by cutting tables and sewing stations. It is a bit messy sometimes with threads and scraps on the floor, but that is just part of the job. We focus on getting the orders finished on time. We don't do much in terms of marketing. Most people find us because they live nearby or heard about us from a friend. We focus on just getting the work done without making a big deal out of it. It’s a practical way to earn a living. The sun hits the front of the shop in the afternoon, making it quite bright inside. We just keep our heads down and keep sewing until the day is over and we can lock up.
