Living and working around Banneraghatta Road means you get used to the noise and the constant movement of people. Our place, J P Zone, is situated at Jiwan Nagar Focal Point 204. It’s a decent enough spot, even if the road outside is always being dug up for something or other. We’ve set things up inside so we can get our work done without too much distraction. There isn’t much to say about the decor because we mostly just focused on having enough table space and light. You’ll find us there most days from early on. The building has that specific smell of old concrete and whatever the shop downstairs is cooking for lunch. Sometimes the power goes out and we just sit there talking until it comes back on. It’s not a corporate office with glass walls; it’s more of a practical space where we handle things as they come. Being at 204 means we are a bit tucked away, but people who need us usually find their way. We keep a ledger for everything and try to stay on top of the piles of paper that seem to grow on their own. It’s just a regular local business trying to keep its head down and do the job right. We don’t have a big team, just a few of us who know how the place runs. It’s a bit messy sometimes, but we know where everything is kept in the back.
