Ing Vysya Bank

This branch of the bank is located at 828, Nandana, on the 18th Cross in Banashankari 2nd Stage. It is a very familiar spot for people who live in this part of Bangalore. We are on the 16th Main, which is always full of people going to the shops or heading to work. The building itself is called Nandana and it has been here for years. When you walk in, you will see the usual bank setup with counters for the tellers and a few desks for the officers. We spend our days processing checks, helping people with their savings accounts, and dealing with all the forms that banks require. It can get very crowded on the first of the month when everyone gets their pensions or salaries. We try to handle the lines as fast as we can, but sometimes there is a wait. The staff is mostly local, and we have gotten to know the regular customers quite well. We hear about their families and their businesses while we are counting out cash or updating their passbooks. It is a lot of responsibility handling other people's money, so we have to be serious about the work. We don't have a lot of time for fancy talk. It is a straightforward banking job in a busy neighborhood. We just show up, do the counting and the paperwork, and help the people who come through the door until it is time to close.
