Infotech Solutions is located at No 540/B on 8th Main in Bangalore. It’s a typical Bangalore office setup, right in the thick of the city’s busy streets. The building is older and has that specific look you see all over Karnataka. We are on a street that gets quite a lot of foot traffic and bikes zooming past throughout the day. Inside, the office is just a bunch of desks and some old shelves filled with manuals and spare parts. It’s not the kind of place that would win any design awards, but it serves our purposes just fine. We have a few windows that look out onto the street, though they stay closed most of the time to keep the noise and the heat out. The wiring is a bit of a mess under the desks, but everything works. Most of the staff has been here long enough that we know exactly which floorboard creaks when you walk over it. We usually start the day with some local coffee and a quick chat about what needs to be fixed or finished. There is no corporate handbook or fancy mission statement hanging on the wall. We just focus on the technical tasks at hand. Getting to 8th Main can be a struggle during the evening rush, so most of us try to head out a bit early or stay late to avoid the worst of it.
