Our spot is on the first floor of Srk Illam, right at 942 on the 2nd Cross of Kamanhalli Main Road. While many people think of big campuses when they hear the name, this is where our small team works in Bangalore. The Kamanhalli area is always lively, and you can hear the street noise from the windows if they are left open. We are mostly focused on our computer screens all day. The office has a very lived-in feel, with wires tucked under desks and stacks of manuals in the corner. It isn’t a polished corporate showroom; it is just a place where we do our coding and testing. We go down to the street for tea or lunch at the local spots, which is a nice break from the office air. Sometimes the stairs are a bit narrow when everyone is trying to leave at once. We don't have a lot of rules about how things should look as long as the work gets finished. It’s a bit cramped when we have everyone in for a meeting, but we make it work. Most of us live nearby, so we know the neighborhood well. It is a practical environment where we just focus on the tasks at hand. No one here is trying to impress anyone with big words. We just show up at Srk Illam and get to work every morning.
