Indus Outback

Out here at Devashya House in Bellippady Village, things move a bit slower than they do in the big cities. We are situated in the Puttur area, and if you are driving out this way, you will see a lot of green. The air is different here, especially after it rains. We spend a lot of our day just managing things from this old house. It’s a quiet place, mostly just the sounds of the birds and the occasional tractor passing by on the road. We are part of the local community, so most people around here know where Devashya House is. We don't have a big neon sign or anything like that. It's just a regular building where we do our work. Sometimes the internet is a bit slow because of the location, but we manage to get everything done. We usually start early in the morning before it gets too warm. There is a lot of space around the office, and sometimes we just sit outside to talk about what needs to happen for the day. It’s not a corporate setup at all. We have our files, our desks, and usually some snacks someone brought from home. Dealing with the post at the Kodimbady office is part of the routine. It is a simple life and a simple way of working. We like it that way because it keeps us connected to the land around us.
